Ashly E. Scheufele


Ms. Scheufele’s practice focuses on complex business litigation. She has represented clients in cases involving technology supply and licensing agreements, multi-million dollar construction projects, alleged product defects, executive employment disputes, and fraud claims related to financial investments. Ms. Scheufele also has extensive experience in international arbitration, representing foreign companies in multi-million dollar commercial disputes. Ms. Scheufele appears regularly in the Massachusetts state and federal courts as well as international and domestic arbitration proceedings.

More About Ashly E. Scheufele

In addition to being an advocate, Ms. Scheufele is a trained mediator and case conciliator. She has mediated dozens of cases, including those involving insurance coverage, construction projects, commercial supply agreements, and loan disputes. Using a facilitative mediation style, Ms. Scheufele assists parties in identifying new solutions and moving beyond stalemate.

Ms. Scheufele is an active member of the American Bar Association’s section of Dispute Resolution. Within the section, she is a Work Group Chair for the subcommittee tasked with authoring arbitration rules for use in an ad hoc arbitrations and an Advisory Reviewer for the Book Publication Board.

Ms. Scheufele writes frequently on topics related to alternative dispute resolution and offers pro bono mediation services in area community courts.

  • Represented Chinese technology company in two-week international arbitration liability hearing involving complex contract-based claims.
  • Defended general contractor against construction defect claims in two-week arbitration where alleged damages totaled more than $1.6 million.
  • Represented employee asserting claims against former employer for value of minority shares held in closely held corporation.
