Community
Fitch is committed to our clients and the vital work that we do for them every day in resolving complex disputes. We also are founded on the principle that the strength of the firm over the long term depends on an appropriate balance of work, family and community activities. We encourage and support all of our lawyers and staff to pursue their passionate commitments outside of the firm. Here are examples of the ways in which our team members go to work in their communities:
- Steven E. Gurdin is a member of the Professional Advisory Committee of the Brookline Community Foundation.
- Carlos A. Maycotte is a former president of the Cornell Club of Boston and served in many capacities as an alumni volunteer for Cornell in the Boston area.
- Małgorzata Mrózek co-teaches an international arbitration practicum course as an adjunct lecturer in law at New England Law Boston.
- Kelly A. Schwartz is the co-chair of the family law section of the Boston Bar Association.
- Kassandra C. Tat is a youth mentor at the College and Post-Secondary Program (CAPS) run by a community organization, Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center (BCNC). She accompanies youths on college tours and works closely with an assigned mentee through all phases of their last two years in high school to apply to jobs and colleges.
- Kassandra C. Tat also serves on the Board of Quincy After School Care (QCARE).
- Alessandra Wingerter serves as a member of the Advisory Board of the Environmental Justice Legal Services of ACE: Alternatives for Community & Environment. The Advisory Board provides strategic advice to ACE in support of its legal services program.
